THE PROPER TYPE OF GASOLINE TO USE IN YOUR MINI POCKET ROCKET

Many individuals, whether new to the sport of mini pocket rockets or those who have been riding for years, often ask themselves what is the right type of gasoline to use in their bike. The answer is pretty simple, no matter if you have a 2-stroke engine or a 4-stroke engine, you always want to use a high grade unleaded fuel. Do not waste your money buying any type of racing fuel because the performance of your bike will not be enhanced. It is typically recommended that a 91 premium unleaded gasoline is used in any bike. You can purchase this gas at any regular gas station while making a stop to fill up your car.

If you own a 2-stroke engine bike you will be required to mix the gasoline with oil. You do not want to use regular car oil, however, because this will damage the bike. Instead you will need to get 2-stroke motorcycle oil. The mixture should be 25 parts gas to every 1 part oil for a new bike, and then 50 parts gas to every 1 part oil for a bike that has been broken in. A mini pocket bike is generally broken in after the 3rd or 4th tank of gas has been used. An easy way to properly mix your gas and oil is to purchase a mixing bottle that has lines that tell you how far to fill the gas and oil to. If you have purchased a 4-stroke engine bike then there is no need to worry about mixing gas and oil as these bikes take gasoline only.
